Navitas Semiconductor Powers Up AI Data Centers with Breakthrough Collaboration with NVIDIA

$NVTS

Navitas Semiconductor (Nasdaq: NVTS) is making waves in the tech world with a game-changing partnership with NVIDIA (Nasdaq: NVDA). Together, they are developing next-generation power technology that promises to make AI data centers faster, more efficient, and more scalable than ever before.

At the heart of this innovation is Navitas’ new 800-volt High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) system, called Kyber. This cutting-edge architecture is designed to power NVIDIA’s latest GPUs, including the Rubin Ultra, using advanced materials like gallium nitride (GaN) and silicon carbide (SiC). By upgrading from the old 54-volt power setup to a direct 800-volt system, Kyber cuts down on energy loss and eliminates bulky hardware, making data centers leaner and more reliable.

One standout benefit? The new system reduces the thickness of copper wiring by nearly half. This means the same power can be delivered more efficiently, while using far less raw material—making it both cost-effective and more sustainable.

The Kyber power supply also meets the latest industry standards, including Open Rack v3 (ORv3) and the Open Compute Project (OCP). It features smart digital controls and next-gen components to keep everything running smoothly and safely, from smaller setups to massive racks delivering up to 22 kilowatts of power.

Gene Sheridan, Navitas’ CEO and co-founder, shared his excitement about the partnership, noting how Navitas’ breakthroughs in GaN and SiC technology are reshaping power delivery—not only for AI data centers but also electric vehicles. These advancements mean lower power bills, less maintenance, and cooler-running equipment.

With over 300 patents and being the first semiconductor company certified CarbonNeutral®, Navitas is at the forefront of powering the future. As AI workloads and data centers continue to grow rapidly, innovations like Kyber will be crucial in keeping pace with demand—helping to shape a smarter, greener, and more connected world.
